Tada has to be on the "to do" list

Down south, specially in Chennai, those seeking  refuge from hebetudinous daily life  keep prowling the list of places to visit. And for anyone who has spent time doing this, Tada is definitely an option to look up to. But it comes with a catch, make sure it's rainy season lest you might be left looking for water in a waterfall.

About 2 hours drive from Chennai, it lies across the border in Andhra Pradesh. Flanked by high hills, this place is a treat for eyes when visited while it drizzles. Clouds scout for way past the hills, ending up covering it's crown and casting shadows all over the place. Icing on the cake, what else would it be,especially near a place as hot as Chennai.

Drive to the falls marks a remarkable change in backdrop with villages and green fields. All that fun only till the entrance as cars are not allowed beyond a particular point. But, I guess that's when the real fun commences, the trek.

Roads give away to trails and the trails to boulders on the river bed. The trek starts slowly with the beauty of hills and the pristine winds. It pauses a bit at a bund on the river where kids and families can have a blast. Now that the easy part of trek is over gear yourself for the real trek and make sure you are as light a possible.

The trek unwinds through dense growths with the river making inroads at ease. Now, it's mainly the river that is to be followed. The river flows in stages with multiple pools as it gushes down, each one as beautiful as it can be. The best part of the pool being, you can plunge into almost all of them as they are shallow and crystal clear. There are pools with small fishes swimming in schools. Get into it and wait for them to start giving you a massage, a completely different experience altogether.

As one proceeds further, the serenity of the falls is revealed even more. With thick vegetation fanned out in every possible  direction, its upto you to make your way through the rocks. The fun increases as you trek up as the water flows with full strength. The last step of trek is a fall with water falling from just the correct height to allow you stand under it and absorb the moment
